The manga takes place after the events of 11 September 2001, when Evil Con Carne and president Bush declared war on Endsville, forcing everyone to flee to Toronto, Canada, which is led by the british loyalist and monarch King Darwin Z Britannia. Eventually, the city was totally wiped out of the surface of the planet.

In 2007,Chris McLean (the founder of the terrorist organization, Sinister Rites) and Chef Hatchet hosted Total Drama Island and send 22 campers to compete for the prize, and for their lives... After that, the same year, Chris decided to call a waste disposal company to dump all the nuclear waste from Endsville on Wawanakwa, Bunny Island and Boney Island(formerly Skull Island, Estroy's base of operations), hence why the nuclear plant was built there, in order to keep the population safe from the radiation, causing them to mutate into horrifying monsters (Fred Fredburger, Jeff, the Big Boogey Man, Jack, Grim, etc.)

Our story begins in 11 September 2007, Toronto, where all the residents of Endsville fled to. The hero's journey is to expose the secrets of the newly founded Confederate States of America and the Larkin family and to overthrow the monarchy, while facing tough thugs, ferrocious beasts, possibly emo kids, and an angry vampire high schooler, desperate to find fresh blood.

The Afterlife is the place where the souls of the dead go. There are two gateways: one to Heaven (Uranus), where all the good spirits lay to rest, like Albert Einstein; and the one to Hell (Hades), where the worst of the worst go and burn for eternity, for example: Adolf Hitler. The souls can be collected and used to make all sorts of powerful weaponry, ranging from melee weapons, to guns, to even nukes.
